How to increase my wireless internet signal?

I have an acer aspire one netbook, my work has free wireless internet but in certain areas (like where my desk is) I dont have a very strong signal. Is there anything I can do to my netbook to increase my signal strength since doing anything to the main router is out of the question.

know that its an operating system but how does it work with such little hard drives that the netbooks have???

I am going to be getting a new Mini Netbook and I'd rather Linux then Windows! So how would I uninstall XP and put on Linux! I do not want to mess up my computer or do anything illegal! Is there anyway to do this?

i have been wanting a laptop for quite a while now and have chosen the advent 5301 laptop from pc world at 150 pounds. i was wondering if it was cheap because it was useless or because of the sales . it does not say an original price just the sale one. is it good or bad??

rollercoaster tycoon 3 with virtual drives question?

Hey, I am trying to run rollecoaster tycoon 3 on my netbook with no cd since netbooks dont have cd drives. I got flight simulator 2004 working on a virtual cd (i installed game from usb) I want to do the same with roller coaster tycoon 3, but rollercoaster tycoon 3 wont work, it installs but still asks for the cd and wont load.

I tried daemon tools and alcohol 52%.

Any ideas?

What is the best (new, not preowned/not netbook) laptop below $400?

I'm aiming to get my first laptop; I wanted a netbook because it was cheap, compact, and has most capabilities of what i want which are basically typing, email, IM, etc. However, my dad won't let me. He wants me to get a real full blown laptop and I don't know if I want to pay a couple hundred extra for a full blown which has more capabilities, but most of them I wouldn't even use. So now I'm forced to buy a full blown big laptop. Hopefully, if anyone can find a compact durable laptop with a wide capability range, please tell me. The system must be Windows XP or Windows Vista with a large hard disk space, memory, a good(fast) processor, and a good graphics card (depends, if it's too bad it's no good lol). Yeah I know this all probably is like in the thousands or something but my dad INSISTS a cheap good new (not preowned) one exists. Thanx in advance.
Also, preferably the laptop would have a built in microphone and webcam.
Speakers are built in too
I would like to repeat because some people may/or already have (lol) said it.

No netbooks (basically no small laptops like the asus, acer, ee, or any like that that are limited, if it's small but an ACTUAL laptop as in full capability then go ahead)
